He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Comer and Eva Mae Vickery; his wife Jana Vickery; and his siblings, Mary Rice, Jean Majors, Joe Vickery, Clarice Walls, Maurice Vickery, Jan Fincham and Earl Vickery.

He is survived by: his children, Frankie Alexander Nicholson, Jason Christopher Nicholson, Michael Kevin Nicholson, Will Vickery, Terry Overstreet and Pat Overstreet; and his siblings, Annette Thomas and Gay Drew. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
