He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Allday Bradley and James Edward Guy; his stepfather Elvin Bradley; his daughter Rebecca Jane Guy; and his brothers, Blane Guy and Jake Guy Sr..
He is survived by: his wife Jane R. Guy; his children, Kathy Sullivan (Larry), David Earl Guy Jr. (Elizabeth) and Jennifer Sullivan (Dallas); his grandchildren, Rebecca Dunagan (Collin), Kaylee Guy, Caroline Guy, Timothy Loper (Tad) and Waylon Loper; his great grandchildren, Ava Jane and Colton; and his siblings, Rev. George Guy, Allen Guy and Jewel Fleming (Danny).
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lathan Funeral Home (1867 US-43, Jackson, AL 36545). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at the Jones Chapel Church of Christ (28345 AL-154, Coffeeville, AL 36524).
