With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Alfred Sibley of Jackson, Alabama, born in Vicksburg, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 5, 2025 at the age of 84. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wallace and Annie Vivian Crowder Sibley; his former wife Phyllis Allison Sibley; his brother Billy Sibley; and his stepgranddaughter Chelsea Marie Randall Reed.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo Harrell Sibley; his children, Vicky Smith (Gene), Mark Sibley and Debra Diane Randall (Bryant); his stepchildren, Eric Walker (Fleaka), Paige Ammons (Jason) and Dina Phillips (Wayne); his grandchildren, Michael Dyar (Lara), Stephanie Plafcan (Alex), Tyler Sibley (Miranda), Dustin Sibley (Jacquelyn), Garrett Sibley (Morgan) and Kaylee Sibley; his sister-in-law Jackie Sibley; and his friend Walter Looper.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Arkansas First Baptist Church. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
