She was predeceased by: her husband Jack Thomas Carter; her grandsons, Brian Rhett Currah and William Grant Hicks Jr.; her parents, David Hipps and Nettie Hipps; and her siblings, Buford, Carl, James Hipps and Mildred Salter.
She is survived by: her daughter Jackie Hicks; her grandson Ricky Carter; her daughter Roxanne Melton (Walter); her grandsons, Jason Carter (Coleena) and Logan Hicks; her granddaughter-in-law Nicole Moore Currah; and her great grandchildren, Ashton, Asa and Carson Carter.
