With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edith Day Eaton in Irvington, Alabama, who passed away on July 12, 2024 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Underwood and Gladys Underwood; her daughter Jeanie Darlene; and her sister Sherry Underwood McKenna (Randy Bragg). She is survived by: her children, James Spottswood III (Marie), Gordon Glenn Eaton and Mitzi Brown (Mike); her grandchildren, Michael Brown, Mallory Brown, James Spottswood, Jeffrey Spottswood and Jeremy Spottswood; and her caregivers, Leila, Angela and Brittany. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren; three nephews.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Mobile Animal Shelter.
