It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rufus Collins of Ider, Alabama, who passed away on October 17, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eunice Collins and Girlie Sims Collins (Betty Collins); and his siblings, Dorothy Sanders, Lucille Rhoades, Faye Evans, Load, Lionell, Bill and Ed Collins.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jackie Giles (Ted), Debbie Schrimsher (Glenn) and Beth Collins; his grandchildren, Jeni Veal (Matt) and Jason Giles (Lisa); his great grandchildren, Andrew "Bubba" Meadows (Krista Weathers), Brady Veal, Katelyn Pittman and Matthew Pittman; his great great grandchild Cabela; and his brother Harold Collins. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
