With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joy Hamilton Thornhill (Ider, Alabama), who passed away on December 29, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Minnie Bowman Hamilton and Corbon Hamilton; her husband Webb Gay Thornhill; her siblings, Richard, Ralph Faulkner and Callie Harper; and her granddaughter Kelli Benson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Merry Ann Benson (Jamie) and Cherie Ramage (Skyler); her grandchildren, Blake Shrader (Shanda), Ty Shrader (Lindsey) and Alena Benson; her great grandchildren, Maelee Kate Shrader and Hutton Shrader; her sister-in-law Bettye Bass (Bill); her pets, Trump and Ladybug; and her caregivers, Angie Howard, Melissa Moore, Joyce Whitmore, Cyndle Thornhill, Lynn Jeffrey and Pat Roberts. She is also survived by her family, friends.
