It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Edward Eyssen of Ider, Alabama, born in Cleveland, Ohio, who passed away on May 22, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Robert E. Eyssen and Virginia Pearl Jones Eyssen. He is survived by: his wife Theresa Heiler Eyssen of Ider; his children, Timothy William Eyssen (Kari) of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Jennifer Eyssen Irwin (Dale) of Ft. Payne, Alabama, Sharon Collins (late Richard) of Hixson, Tennessee and Mandy Eyssen Keel (Brad Keel) of Chattanooga, Tennessee.; his brothers, Tom Robert Eyssen (Elise Schriver) of Knoxville and Mark Eyssen of Chattanooga, Tennessee.; his stepchildren, Amelia Farmer (Chris), Kelly Gay (Michael), Misti Miller and Matthew Miller; and his grandchildren, Alex, Alexis, Avery, Conway, Allister, Shiloh, Reilly, Caston, Colton, Hunter, Kylie, Caleigh, Caden, Keirsi Kathleen Mooney Miller and Ryot Matthew Bracey. He is also survived by family and friends.
