He was predeceased by: his parents, Mack Jr. Wells and Bertha Mae Strickland Wells (Katherine Shrader Wells); his sister Sue Koger Barnett; and his sister-in-law Thelma Shrader. He is survived by: his children, Teresa Hatfield (Darin) and David Wells; his grandchildren, Keisha Hatfield, Katie Wooten (Rodney) and Chris Wells (Madison); his great grandchildren, Adeline Wells, Amerie Wooten and Asher Wells; his siblings, Edith Brown (James), Ronnie Wells (Tina), Jerry Wells (Vickie) and Tommy Wells (Kathy); and his siblings-in-law, Arlene Graben, Shella Hall (Kenneth), Shelia Overby (Scottie), Andra Smalley, Iretha Patterson (Donald) and Roy Garren (Judy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
