With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gwendolyn Vaughn Smith (Ider, Alabama), who passed away on April 30, 2020 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Wyley and Annie Mae Pickard Vaughn (Nick Smith); her son Kenneth Nick Smith; her great grandchild Nicholas Levi Wilhite; and her siblings, Mary Vaughn, Myrtle Webster, Carl, Claude, William Jr., Charles, Clarence and Norman Vaughn.
She is survived by: her daughter Rita Buckner (James "Harry"); her grandchildren, Michelle Wilhite (Ricky), Jenna Peitzman (Matt), Nick Buckner and Stephanie Babiak (Brendan); her great grandchildren, Lane, Savannah, Jameson Wilhite, Ronin, Kyra Babiak, Anna, Kate, Abby Peitzman and Peitzman Twins; and her sister Willodean Jones. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
