With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Frank Allan Barkley of Ider, Alabama, born in Crandall, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 4, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Eldridge and Ellie Mae Breeden Barkley; and his siblings, Ann Jacobs, Maggie Shell, Zettie Wester, Willie Lowery, Exie Thomas, Keith, Johnny, Ralph, Charlie and Paul Barkley.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Blevins Barkley; his daughter Nancy Baxter Saxon; his grandchildren, Amanda Saxon and Chad Saxon; and his siblings, Janie Robinson, Sara Templeton, Gus Barkley (Ruby), Joe Barkley, Robert Barkley (Sandra), Jim Barkley (Dorene) and Morris Barkley (Lynn). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
