He is survived by: his wife Rita Gail Hardeman Buffington; his children, Cindy Buffington, Eric Buffington (Cindy Hawkins) and Brian Buffington (Syble Thompson); and his sister-in-law Lana Dee Hardeman Mays. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
