He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ernest and Ona Mae Cowley; his sister Joyce Gardner (Bennie); and his niece Karen Gardner Casey. He is survived by: his wife Mitzi Cowley; his sons, Jeff Cowley (Denise), David Cowley (Kim) and Dan Cowley (Gina); his grandchildren, Colton Cowley (Nicole), Sydney Perrin (Ben), Haley Cowley, Jacob Cowley, Kendall Cowley and Brent Cowley; his nephew Stan Gardner (Loreta); and his niece Kandy Harris (Keith).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Christ Presbyterian Church (288 Old Hwy 431, Owens Cross Roads, AL 35763). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
