He was predeceased by: his parents, Colonel Eugene McGinnis and Lillian Hood McGinnis. He is survived by: his wife Jeaneen Brown McGinnis; his son Walker McGinnis (Jay); his daughter-in-law Mikelyn McGinnis; his daughter Donessa Gattis; his son-in-law Clayton Gattis; his sister Elizabeth Deckert; his nephew Kevin Deckert; and his grandchildren, Rivers McGinnis, Walker J. (Mac), Laurel Gattis and Monroe Gattis.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Mayfair Church of Christ (1095 Carl T Jones Dr SE, Huntsville, AL 35802). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at the Maple Hill Cemetery (202 Maple Hill St SE, Huntsville, AL 35801).
