She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth McElwee and Mary Lou McElwee; her former husband Merritt Wikle Jr.; and her sister Carol McElwee Harris. She is survived by: her husband Dr. James Rogers (Jim); her children, Merritt Wikle III (Melissa) of Jasper, Tennessee and Laura Wikle Jones (Wes) of Birmingham, Alabama; her grandchildren, Austin Wikle, Ryan Wikle, Clay Jones and Abby Jones; her stepchildren, James Rogers II (Suzanne) of Oak Ridge and Karen Rogers Ferguson of Huntsville; and her stepgrandchildren, James Huston Rogers III (Brett), Sarah Katherine Rogers, Emily Ferguson and Rebecca Ferguson.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Church of the Nativity (208 Eustis Ave SE, Huntsville, AL 35801). A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
