With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ollie Ruth Coffey Cox of Huntsville, Alabama, born in Auburn, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 2, 2024 at the age of 83. She was predeceased by: her parents, Pleasant Lee Coffey and Opal Faye Coffey; her husband Jule Cox; and her fiancé Gerry Staton. She is survived by: her sisters, Mary Leonard (Jackie) and Martha Clayton (Lamar); her nieces, Lara Grose (Andy), Stephanie Clayton and Lindalee Clayton-Learned (Tom); her great-nephews, Drew and Tyler Grose; and her daughter-in-law Debi Edwards (Tom).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Ollie Ruth Coffey Cox Memorial Scholarship fund at the Delta Pi Nu chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma.
