It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nancy Lassiter Kurtz in Huntsville, Alabama, who passed away on April 15, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Nancy Lassiter leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her husband Herman Fletcher Kurtz, Jr.; her parents, Walter Marting and Mary Louise Lassiter; and her son Walter Lassiter Kurtz. She is survived by: her children, Richard Kurtz and Laurel Kurtz; her grandsons, Fletcher Kurtz and Tristan Kurtz; and her caregivers, Oakbridge Terrace, Willowbrook Court and Nancy.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Laughlin Service Funeral Home (2320 Bob Wallace Ave SW, Huntsville, AL 35805). A graveside service was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Maple Hill Cemetery (202 Maple Hill St SE, Huntsville, AL 35801).
