He was predeceased by: his parents, Virginia Lucille Davidson Compton and John David Compton. He is survived by: his children, Finley Claire Compton and Asher Wade Compton; his wife Kacey Compton; his sister Emily Compton LeBeau (Brad LeBeau); and his nieces and nephews, Lucas and Logan.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Berryhill Funeral Home (2305 Memorial Pkwy NW, Huntsville, AL 35810). A memorial service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 6:00 PM at 301 Brevard Blvd, Huntsville, AL 35811.
