We are sad to announce that on November 11, 2024, at the age of 49, Melissa Lynne Goodwin (Huntsville, Alabama) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Melissa Lynne had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Melissa Lynne may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.

She was predeceased by: her father James McCaleb. She is survived by: her children, Hannah Thornton, Meagan Thornton and Watson Goodwin; her mother Karen Worley; her siblings, Patty Tapp and Jonathan Schmidt; her granddaughter Cordelia Young; and her stepfather David Schmidt. She is also survived by family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Berryhill Funeral Home (2305 Memorial Pkwy NW, Huntsville, AL 35810). A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
