It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lisa Gayle Edge (Huntsville, Alabama), who passed away on March 16, 2025, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Lisa Gayle may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Lisa Gayle touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Lee Long (Jim) and Dorothy Markham Wuersch; and her son Michael Edge Jr.. She is survived by: her siblings, Sherry Hennington (Billy), Pam Ward (Daniel), Michael Edge Sr. and Jerome Long; her aunt Nell Medley; and her uncle Charles Markham. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and one great-niece.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Lisa's honor to Dandelion House (https://themomfoundationhsv.org), a transitional home for women leaving domestic violence situations—an organization that was very close to Lisa's heart.
