She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert Sutton and Mildred Sutton; her husband Tommy Reed; and her siblings, Danny Sutton and Thelma Allen.

She is survived by: her children, Laura Reed Abernathy (Jerald) and Dan Reed (Mary); her grandchildren, Brigitte Reed, James Abernathy and Bryson Abernathy; her sisters, Julie Weaver and Kay Vinson (Joe); and her sister-in-law Diana Sutton.
