She was predeceased by: her husband William E. Zecher; her parents, Elmer Atrops and Ruby Atrops; and her grandson Will. She is survived by: her children, Christine Nielsen (David), David Zecher (Karen), Jonathan Zecher (Jackie) and Daniel Zecher (Rachael); her grandchildren, Brian Nielsen (Sheila), Steven Nielsen (Laura), Kayla Gardner (Ryan), Stacie Nielsen (Gary Marquette), Megan, Aaron, Anna, Isabel Hess (Reid), Ethan, Aiden, Ada, Zoe, Cora and Eleanor Zecher; her great grandchildren, Oliver, Kyle, Liam, Wesley and Elena; her siblings, Martin Atrops (Lorene), David Atrops (Linda), Arthur Atrops (Susan), Janet Krause (William), Joanne Neff (Bruce), Jeanine Henke (Michael), Jenilyn Kerstein (Paul) and Julene Fenenga (Ronald); and her sister-in-law Mary Zecher.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM at the Grace Lutheran Church (3321 S Memorial Pkwy, Huntsville, AL 35801). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the Grace Lutheran Church Building Fund.
