She was predeceased by: her parents, John E. Culver and Ernestine Culver; her brother J. W. Culver; and her son Mikey. She is survived by: her husband Colonel Michael McGuire (US Army Retired); her children, Mark C. McGuire (Shelly) and Lee Antonio (Jimmy); her grandchildren, Nicole Maldonado (Sharn), Hailey Thomas (Brenden) and Steven; and her caregiver Erin Potter. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
To honor her memory, and in lieu of flowers, donations in the name of Joy McGuire to the North Alabama Hospice who helped guide her through her final journey home is suggested.
