He was predeceased by: his parents, Emery Holderman and Mildred Holderman (Tierney); his siblings, Phyllis Ream, Charles, Marlin and Donald Holderman; and his grandson Corey Holderman.

He is survived by: his wife Suki Holderman (Pak); his children, Cris Holderman (Brittaney), David Holderman of Huntsville, Scott Holderman (Jayme) of Naples, Jonnie Holderman (Isayana) of Lake Placid, Pam Holderman of Greer, Denise Bigelow of Marco Island and Lisa Holderman; his grandchildren, Emery, Marley, Kiley Maddux, Gavin, Devon, Lincoln, Isla, Jennifer Spencer, Jessie Garneau, Jacki Garneau, Christina and Matthew; and his siblings, Janet Tressler (Bill) of Arkansas and Beverly Wilson of Bellefonte.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Berryhill Funeral Home (2305 Memorial Pkwy NW, Huntsville, AL 35810). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Huntsville Memory Gardens (6810 University Dr NW, Huntsville, AL 35806).

After his military career, Jon transitioned into a successful role as a rocket engineer at Boeing, making significant contributions to the development of the Hellfire missile.
