He was predeceased by: his parents, John Thomas and Catherine Vance Carder; and his wife Alice Lou Carder. He is survived by: his children, Debra Bocking (John), Susan McCrary (Dan) of Huntsville, John Michael Carder of Snellville and James Carder (Beth) of Cumming, Georgia; and his sister Catherine Duane Booth of Parrish, Florida. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville (2411 Memorial Pkwy NW, Huntsville, AL 35810). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at the Maple Hill Cemetery (202 Maple Hill St SE, Huntsville, AL 35801).
