He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvie Schmidt and Rachel Schmidt. He is survived by: his wife Marlene Boyett Schmidt; his son Jason Schmidt (Juli Schmidt); his grandchildren, Jordan Cruse (Jack Cruse) and Jacob Schmidt; and his great grandchildren, Hudson, Ella and Emma. He is also survived by two brothers and one sister; and survived by five sisters.
