Irene Oglesby Obituary

She was predeceased by: her parent Lucy Patton Thompson; her siblings, Mattie Townsend, Minnie Garner, Charlie, Walter Lee, Robert and Oscar Thompson; and her grandparent D'Andrea Oglesby.

She is survived by: her children, Donald Oglesby (Sharon) of Snellville, Georgia and Carolyn Guthrie of Nashville, Tennessee; her nieces, Gearlean Outlin and Linda Lynch; and her nephew Bishop Carl Pruitt. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; twelve great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM and at 12:00 PM. A burial was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at the Saint Ruth Cemetery (320 Grimwood Rd, Hazel Green, AL 35750).
