He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Holcomb and Alpha Holcomb; and his siblings, Rachel Richardson, Pauline Alexander, Sue Mensinger, Gene and Roy Holcomb.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Virginia Holcomb (Gunnells); his children, Michael (Sabrina), Kenneth (Marcia) and Carol; his grandsons, Derek, Seth, Matthew (Marley) and Clay (Hannah); his great grandchildren, Nora, Margot, Tess and Violet; and his sisters, Martha Hughes and Ola Smoots.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Laughlin Service Funeral Home (2320 Bob Wallace Ave SW, Huntsville, AL 35805). A memorial service was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to The American Cancer Society, as he lost many members of family and friends to cancer and was a cancer survivor himself.
