He was predeceased by: his parents, Elvin Wilburn Moore and Maudi Ardelia Howard Moore; and his sister Brenda Mills. He is survived by: his wife Linda Moore; his daughters, Melissa Blume (Bradley Blume), Melanie Swinea (Calven Swinea) and Keri Bell; his grandchildren, Jessica Gessler (Carl John), Megan Haggard (Mason), Hunter Ammons (Rachel), Lauren Ammons (Daniel Valin), Samantha Poulin, Matthew Poulin and Gage Bell; and his great grandchildren, Lily Gessler, Hazel Haggard, Carl John Gessler IV and Ellie Ammons.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Legacy Chapel Funeral Home and Crematory (16 Hughes Rd, Madison, AL 35758). A memorial service was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
