It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hershel F. Franklin in Huntsville, Alabama, who passed away on August 21, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Hershel may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Deward Hershel Franklin and Mary Virginia Weston Franklin; and his sister Gail Franklin. He is survived by: his wife Joy Franklin of Hartselle, AL; his children, Jeff Franklin (Emily) of Trenton, GA, Jonathan Franklin (Lisa) of Grant, FL and Stacey Motes (Mark) of Pensacola, FL; and his brother Robin Franklin (Pam). He is also survived by Six Grandchildren Two Great Grandchildren, A Host of Nieces and Nephews.
