Though Herman McKinley may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his wife Bertha Mae Thompson; and his parents, Susan Jane Flannigan and William McKinley Thompson. He is survived by: his children, Herman Thompson, Jr. (Babs), John D. Thompson (Lisa), Tim Thompson, Marie Thompson (Willis) and Larry Thompson (Cynthia); and his brothers, Earl Smith and Harold Thompson. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Berryhill Funeral Home (2305 Memorial Pkwy NW, Huntsville, AL 35810). A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
