He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Walton Vaughan, Sr. and Susie Love Jones Vaughan; his wife Camille Fleming Vaughan; and his sister Marylyn Vaughan Beall. He is survived by: his sister Love Vaughan McGehee; his children, Herbert Walton Vaughan III (Sarah) and Fleming Vaughan Sharp (Kevin); and his grandchildren, Bebe Camille Sharp, John Kevin Sharp, Andrew Hiley Vaughan (Cassie), Nathanael Walton Vaughan, Christopher Blue Schmitz and Jesse Alden Hiley Vaughan.
