He was predeceased by: his parents, Aleta Rose (Perry) and Hubert Owens; his stepfather Harold Johnson; and his grandchildren, Bailey Jayne Murray and Laney Jordan Murray.
He is survived by: his daughters, Rose Murray, Julie Owens and Amber Owens; the parent of his children Terry Owens; his siblings, Ed Owens (Katee), Julie Boatman, Ralph Owens (Denise) and Janice Coburn; and his grandchildren, Mason Owens, Lilly Murray, Isaiah Serrano, Brayden Serrano, George Owens, Aubrey Kubond and Colbyn Serrano.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Carter Conley Funeral Home (13701 Corpus Christi St, Houston, TX 77015). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the San Jacinto Memorial Park (14659 East Fwy, Houston, TX 77015).
