She was predeceased by: her parents, Tolbert McDaniel and Lena Mauldin; her husband Robert Mapes; and her daughter Lisa Hargrove. She is survived by: her daughters, Nancy O'Neal (Ernest) of Wilmot and Cherie Theis (John) of Daphne, Alabama; her grandchildren, Greg O'Neal, Robert O'Neal, Leigh Ann Hargrove (Deanna Cummings), Amy Rousayne (Austin), Beth Ivy and Todd Theis (Katie); and her great grandchildren, Kinlee, Abby, Claire, Avery, Jackson, Cooper and John Hayes.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Trinity United Methodist Church (607 Airport Rd SE, Huntsville, AL 35802). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Oakwood Cemetery.
