He was predeceased by: his parents, James Findlay Brown and Isabelle Miles Brown of Birmingham, Alabama.; and his son James Allan Brown. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Jones Brown; his children, Mark Nelson Brown (Andrea) and Sharon Leigh Brown; his sister Ruth Ann Bowers (Willard); his grandchildren, Mary Margaret Lankford (Boyd), Cameron Brown (Sami Crase), Taylor Muir (Emily), Lawson Muir (Briana Irwin) and Conner Simmons; and his great grandchildren, Mary Harmon Lankford, William Bryant Lankford, Henry Coleman Lankford, Judson Thomas Lankford and Anastasia Hart Lankford.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Holmes Street United Methodist Church (501 Holmes Ave NE, Huntsville, AL 35801). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
