As Darlene Ann Schmidt departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Darlene Ann Schmidt. Though Darlene Ann Schmidt may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Katharine Elmina Grimsley and Arlo Reinhold Schmidt; her husband Leo M. Collyar; and her brother Martin Schmidt. She is survived by: her sister Rosetta Silver (David) of Stillwater, OK; and her children, Christia Nalley (Donald) of Huntsville, AL, Lynn Collyar (Sarah) of Huntsville, AL and Kathy Marucci (Vincent) of Winter Garden, FL. She is also survived by six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Laughlin Service Funeral Home Chapel (2320 Bob Wallace Ave SW, Huntsville, AL 35805).
