He is survived by: his wife Martha Snider Rice; his daughters, Jane Holloway (John), Robin Schneider (Roger) of Huntsville, AL and Laura Christy (Foster) of Columbia, SC; his grandchildren, Lauren Roberts (Jared), Bethany Gannon (William), Ann-Marie Settelen (Tyler), Morgan Schneider and Laura-Ellen Albison (Austin); and his great grandchildren, Caroline, Connor, Joshua, Elizabeth, Ann Olivia, Isaac, Samuel, Titus, Jensen and Brock.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Huntsville (600 Governors Dr SW, Huntsville, AL 35801). A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
