Bettye LaRue Willis Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bettye LaRue Willis of Huntsville, Alabama, who passed away on February 24, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Bettye LaRue farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Bettye LaRue is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Willis; her daughter Denise Willis; her parents, Luther Palmer and Willsie Palmer; and her brothers, Luther Palmer, Jr. and Oliver Shelton Palmer.
She is survived by: her children, Donna Iden (Michel), Leslie Willis and Lizette Willis; and her brother Isaac Palmer (Jacqueline). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Oakwood University Church (5500 Adventist Blvd NW, Huntsville, AL 35896).
