She was predeceased by: her parents, Minnie Lou Wiggins Smith and Earl Dees Smith. She is survived by: her husband Leon Clay Hamiter, Jr.; her children, Elizabeth Hamiter Ferguson (Lee), Rebecca Hamiter and Leon Clay Hamiter III; her grandchildren, Lauren Ferguson Alligood (Kyle), Amy Dalton Marshall (John) and Alan Ferguson (Caitlin); her great grandchild Clay Marshall; and her niece Tracy Smith Marshall (Butch).
A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Laughlin Service Funeral Home (2320 Bob Wallace Ave SW, Huntsville, AL 35805). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Rumbley Cemetery.
