He was predeceased by: his parents, Maggie Adams and Edmon Battle; his wife Marie Battle; his daughter Alissa Avery; and his siblings, Lawson, Leroy, William, Abraham, James Battle, Augusta and Ella Battle.
He is survived by: his children, Ben Battle, Jr. (Valencia) of Huntsville, AL and Loraine Ragin (Lamarr); his granddaughter Chyna Peebles (Roderick); and his siblings, Edmon Battle, Jr. (Mae), Willie Mae and Earline Dockery of Dunwoody, GA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and his numerous friends and Christian brothers and sisters.
