She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Godwin Rawls and Gwendolyn Louis Beale; and her husband Hunter Person Raiford. She is survived by: her son Neil Hunter Raiford (Karen Gilliam Raiford); her grandsons, Benjamin Hunter Raiford, Thomas Holt Raiford and Turner Cheyney Raiford; her brother Keith Rawls (Debbie Rawls); and her nieces, Sherri Burgess (Stephen) and Kristy Overton (Russ). She is also survived by six grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
A burial will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 10:15 AM at the Highland Memorial Gardens (109 Ward Rd, Ahoskie, NC 27910). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Ahoskie (312 Main St, Ahoskie, NC 27910). A reception will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
