He was predeceased by: his father Glynn Merchant. He is survived by: his wife Connie S. Merchant; his children, Matthew G. Merchant (Vanassa), Nathan Merchant (Jessie Rose) and Kaylee Merchant; his grandchildren, Matthew R. Merchant and Bella Rose Merchant; his mother Linda Merchant; his brothers, Alan Merchant (Ashley), Curtis Fralick and Jason Stracener; and his brothers-in-law, Richard Hubbard (Cindy) and Johnny Hubbard (Kelly). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and extended loving family and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home (1300 4th Ave N, Bessemer, AL 35020). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at the Cedar Hill Cemetery (650 Circle Heights Cir, Bessemer, AL 35020).
