He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lewis Emerson Sr. and Donalene Weeks; and his grandparents, Emerson and Northie Elmer Hanners. He is survived by: his sister Lynn Thompson; his niece Erin Busby (Josh); his nephews, Jacob Thompson and Zach White (Amanda); his great-nieces, Sadie Busby and Haylee Price; his great-nephew Lucas Busby of Mason Price, C. J; his uncle Elmer Hanners Sr. (Maenette); and his aunt Charlotte Kilgore.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Alabama National Cemetery (3133 Hwy 119, Montevallo, AL 35115).
