She was predeceased by: her husband Donald R. Moore; her son Donald Maurice; her parents, James Carl "Red" Cooley and Clara Mae Walls Cooley; her brother James "Jim" Carl Cooley, Jr.; and her parents-in-law, James Elvis Moore and Mary Louise Moore.
She is survived by: her children, Cathy Moore Mills (David) and Eddie Gillenwater (Linda); her grandchildren, Joey Mills, Carrie Fisher Gilreath (Alan), William Gillenwater (Elizabeth), Daniel Gillenwater (Hanna) and Amy Helms (Vince); and her great grandchild Dylan L. Mills. She is also survived by her family, not just her biological family, but her chosen family.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in memory of Myrtle Moore to Rock Creek Church of God, 1001 Park Road, Bessemer, AL 35023.
