He is survived by: his wife Janice Richey Culwell; his daughters, Casie Marie Franklin (Tyler), Amber McGough (Matt) and Alyssa Dudley (Jonathan); his grandchildren, Gracie Franklin, Brynlee McGough, Jonathan Kevin Dudley, III and Elizabeth Jane Dudley; his mother Margie Speakman Culwell; his sisters, Teresa Bullard (John) and Connie McIlwain (Authur); his nephews, Kevin Bullard (Jennifer) and Eric Hubbard; and his niece Candice Hubbard.
He worked twenty years with foundations with Alabama Pro Services and formerly with Foundation Repairs of Bessemer, Alabama.
