He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Joyce Brown Lovell; his parents, George Hillary Lovell and Ruth Sims Lovell; and his siblings, Maxine Kelley (Red), Elmer Lovell (Lorene), Douglas Lovell, Dorothy Pittman (Roger), Kathryn Canoles and Ella Louise Lovell.
He is survived by: his daughters, Donna L. Rainey (Jesse) and Debra L. Johnson; his grandchildren, Brian Johnson (Shea), Emily R. Corley (Kyle), William Rainey (Lekia Magoo), Justin Johnson (Brooke) and Dylan Johnson (Maggie); and his great grandchildren, Kelsey Johnson, LauraBeth Dailey, Connor Johnson, Lacey Dailey, Lucas Corley, Layla Corley, Libby Corley and Logan Corley.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Valley Creek Baptist Church (3253 Virginia Dr, Hueytown, AL 35023). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
