He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Dates and Mattie Dates. He is survived by: his daughters, Rhonda Montgomery (Russell), Ginger Bowen (Ron) and Jill Stinnett (Joseph); and the mother of his children Gail Dates. He is also survived by five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and longtime friend.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Alzheimers Association.
