It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest Jefferson Grooms (Hueytown, Alabama), who passed away on March 18, 2019, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Grooms and Maryann Grooms; and his sisters, Leoid Lecroy and Louise Lecroy. He is survived by: his spouse Frances Walker Grooms; his daughter Stacy Bryant (Greg) of Vestavia; his grandchildren, Grayson Bryant and Davis Bryant; his sister Ruth Edna Smith; and his close friend Lillie Minnifield. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mulberry Baptist Church cemetery fund or a favorite charity.
