She was predeceased by: her husband George Simpson Vines, Jr.; her parents, John D. Carter and Mary Lillian Mullins Carter; and her brothers, John David Carter and Charles Carter.
She is survived by: her son Joseph E. Vines (Sherrie) of Fultondale, Alabama. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and many longtime friends.
