It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jean Slater of Hueytown, Alabama, who passed away on July 14, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She is survived by: her children, Debbie Hutto, Jeff Slater (Shirley) and Dennis Slater (Brenda); her sister Jan Hollingsworth; her grandchildren, Chasity Hall, Josh Slater, Kim Shu, Tripp Norwood, Cindy Tucker and Laura Jean Chancellor; and her great grandchildren, Abbey Hall, Emily Hall, William Slater, Avery Tucker, Jake Tucker, James Norwood, Emmanuel Shu, Mason Chancellor and Josie Kate Chancellor.
